Review: Ubuntu Edgy Eft 6.10:

Well, after getting my new lovely cable connection has been set up, i recently took the time, to download Ubuntu's new Linux Version, its code-named Edgy Eft.

I have used dapper for quite some time. I was happy with it. When I downloaded Edgy, I was disappointed.. not because there were any performance issues, or, program choices.. but actually i was upset about bugs, or should i say bug.

Basically the only bug so far that i can find was a slight problem with firefox. It would crash on me, on every other website.. but luckily, i went on to ubuntuforums.org, and did a search for "firefox 2.0 crashes" and found my answer. If there was one thing i could say bad about Ubuntu, it would be how their community support DOES NOT SUCK!

The system boots relatively quickly, with the new update of "upstart" which replaces the old "initd" start up. Beryl, which was an easy switch from compiz, gave my slow desktop machine with an integrated video card some groovy effects, flawlessly.

Even though i just started using Edgy, i haven't tested out everything just yet.. but im working on it. I just wanted to give my first appearance of it. I give it an "A-OK" grade, and will continue to test it.
